Hotel Policies

Many of the guests of the Cypress Inn are repeat customers, coming back to the renowned hotel year after year to celebrate milestone events — anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, births, even their first visit to Carmel. You too can make the Cypress Inn a preferred destination by booking a room and taking the first step to creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Please note that each of our 44 guestrooms is individually decorated, and the room you book may not look like the room type photo on the website.

Cancellation Policy

The amount of the first night’s room rate, with taxes, will be collected at time of booking as the deposit.

To be eligible for a full refund of the deposit, cancellations must be alerted to the front desk at least 7 days prior to the guest arrival date.

Refunds must be returned to the same card that was charged for the deposit, and will take a minimum of 7-10 business days, depending on the financial institution of the guest.

Cancellations made without giving a 7-day notice will be subject to forfeiture of the first night’s deposit.

An email confirmation will also be sent, showing that the reservation was cancelled.

Parking:

Cypress Inn offers limited parking for $40/night. Limited parking available by phone reservation “only on the same day of arrival.” One block from the Inn is free street parking.

Pet Policy / Pet Fees:

All rooms are pet-friendly, and all rooms can accommodate a maximum of three (3) pets. There is no weight limit nor breed restrictions.

One Pet: $40/night
Two Pets: $70/night
Three Pets: $100/night

Service pets are exempt from this nightly fee.

Pets cannot be left alone unattended. The front desk can provide a list of pet sitters if needed.

Pets cannot be on furniture anywhere in the hotel unless a pet blanket or towel is on the furniture first.

Any damages incurred will be subject to a $250 fee.

Room Occupancy:

Room rates are based on double occupancy (2 people in the room). Rooms with 2 beds, or a bed and a pull-out sofa, can accommodate up to 4 people and 3 pets.

Any additional guests beyond 2 in a room will be subject to a $50/night additional person fee.

Guests ages 5 and older are subject to this $50/night fee.

Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM and end at 7:00 AM.
